Are there things you try to practice daily to live a more sustainable lifestyle?

I have cut severely down on my plastic water bottle usage by getting a water bottle and filling it from the water fountain at work.

What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?

My Nannie used to make this dessert called blueberry delight. The crust was crushed pecans, then blueberry pie filling and a mixture of cream cheese and whipped cream, then with some more chopped pecans on top. It’s a good dessert, but it also represents my childhood and the love I had and still have for my Nannie.

Have you ever had surgery? What for?

I had gastric bypass surgery in May 2021. I was morbidly obese and had to go and do something. It was the best decision I could make for myself.

How important is spirituality in your life?

It’s very important to me. My spiritual life is the moral compass that to follow. I often fail…

How do you practice self-care?

I listen to my body. I make sure that I get enough sleep, I eat well, and I get some exercise during the day. I will also grab a Power Nap for 15 minutes if I have to.

How do you waste the most time every day?

Daydreaming, TikTok, social media in general, email (although I have made a conscious effort to reduce this), and procrastination.
