Cup of Joe Wrestling Show Episode 316
Joey welcomes Nan for their annual November tradition to talk about thankfulness, Thanksgiving, shopping on Black Friday, entertainment, and so much more.
I sat down with Tony Richards for a wide ranging podcast about Wrestling Announcers, Tony’s fandom, how he became a historian, his Substack, and some of his Wrestling Observer Hall Of Fame votes. This was a fantastic interview. I hope you check it out.
This past week, I recorded a podcast with Brian Solomon. Brian has a new book out about Gorilla Monsoon and has been making the rounds of podcasts and radio shows to support it. I spent this last weekend reading the book and preparing for the interview. I keep putting myself out there to try and overcome my social anxiety. I think it went pretty well.
-Howdy and Happy Monday, folks!
I’m enjoying that the weather is starting to turn cooler.
I decided several years ago that I would read more for pleasure. I usually have a physical book that I am reading, a book that I am listening to, and a few comic series that I read.
I have heard so many great things about All-Star Superman from Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. I recently picked it up and started reading it, and I have been blown away. This series lays out exactly what Superman should be. I’m two issues in so far and can’t wait to read the rest.
-Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge Stephen King fan. My friend Nan and I do a podcast called the Book Club Baristas on my Patreon feed . Our next book is ‘Salem’s Lot. It perfectly captures the spookiness of the season and Autumn in New England.
On this week’s episode, A Chicago Street Fight happens, Muta is here, the Boss loses his name, Rude and Vader get into it, Steamboat and Flair mix it up as the belt is on the line and Joey takes a look at Spring Stampede 1994 from WCW.
