How do you balance work and home life?
It is a delicate process. I work in college housing, so I work and live in the same place. My office was connected to my apartment by a door, and so my commute was 6 feet. It made it very difficult to separate work and home. It took a toll on my physical and mental health. Last year, I moved into a new job at a new college, and now my office and home are in separate buildings. I have learned to leave work at work. If it’s an emergency, then my work knows how to contact me. Otherwise, I will pick it up the next time I am in the office.

What sacrifices have you made in life?
I sacrificed time away from my family and friends when I took a job 1,000 miles away.
I sacrificed my mental health when I didn’t strike a balance between work and home life.
I sacrificed my physical health when I chose to eat my feelings instead of dealing with them. The tacos were delicious, but the trauma remained.
