Some Thanksgiving Entertainment
One of the best episodes ever, Turkey’s Away from WKRP in Cincinnati:
The Butterball Hotline from The West Wing:
The latest episode from What We’re Watching:
Just keep going
That seems to be the mantra lately. I have lived by it myself for a while. I’m exhausted and have a ton of things to do. When does it become too much?
Words to live by-Emily Dickinson
We never know how high we are
Till we are called to rise;
And then, if we are true to plan,
Our statures touch the skies—
The Heroism we recite
Would be a daily thing,
Did not ourselves the Cubits warp
For fear to be a King—

My Interview with Tony Richards
I sat down with Tony Richards for a wide ranging podcast about Wrestling Announcers, Tony’s fandom, how he became a historian, his Substack, and some of his Wrestling Observer Hall Of Fame votes. This was a fantastic interview. I hope you check it out.
An Insight on one part of Warren Buffett’s Thanksgiving letter
-Warren Buffett has released his Thanksgiving letter and as this story indicated, it may be one of his last letters before his retirement at the end of the year.
I was focused on this part: He included life lessons in his latest letter as well, saying not to dwell on mistakes and to make sure you live life in accordance with what you’d most want your obituary to reflect.
I know for me, it is hard not to dwell on mistakes. I have gotten better at this over time, but it remains a struggle. I have told people that as part of my job, I occasionally have to have unpleasant conversations with people. As a result, you can get unkind things said to you. I always say that this part doesn’t really bother me because I know that whatever the person says, I have thought much worse about myself.
Take time today to think about Buffett’s words of wisdom.
Interview with Brian Solomon: Insights on Gorilla Monsoon
This past week, I recorded a podcast with Brian Solomon. Brian has a new book out about Gorilla Monsoon and has been making the rounds of podcasts and radio shows to support it. I spent this last weekend reading the book and preparing for the interview. I keep putting myself out there to try and overcome my social anxiety. I think it went pretty well.
Keep showing up
-I am a podcaster and YouTuber in addition to my full time job. I want the Podcasting and other ventures to eventually be my full time job. I work hard at it and it takes a lot of hours. It is rewarding.
There are times that I get frustrated, my anxiety ramps up, I wonder if I am good enough, smart enough, etc. Classic imposter syndrome.
I learned many years ago that the secret is just showing up. That’s it. Just keep showing up. The imposter syndrome may always be there, but if you keep showing up and putting the work in, you will get better.
