How would you improve your community?
Checking on my neighbors more to make sure they are doing good. Picking up any litter I see, and supporting local businesses.
Describe one positive change you have made in your life.
-I have started moving more and getting steps in to be more active.
How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?
-I have had more patience for myself and others. I take the stairs if an elevator is too crowded. I try to give people more space. I don’t criticize others use of a mask. I pay attention to my body and what it needs.
-Cup of Joe Wrestling Show:
What’s the most fun way to exercise?
-While I wouldn’t consider it fun necessarily, I’ve always enjoyed walking for exercise. It gives me a chance to unwind and figure things out.
Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?
-I like people who are true to themselves and don’t put on airs to try and please other people. The type of people who are “weird” but happy.
What book could you read over and over again?
-Stephen King’s IT, to marvel on his writing about childhood, and Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry, to appreciate his writing about friendship.
If you could have something named after you, what would it be?
-The feeling you get after you wake up and check to see how much longer you have to sleep, only to realize that you have hours.
What makes you laugh?
I like well thought out humor. For example, there was an episode of Frasier where a character says something about the universal language and implies that it’s love. Frasier, being fed up with the whole situation, says yes say something in Esperanto. That’s funny to me.
