Mr. Perfect destroys the WWF Championship, The Genius shocks the world with a win over Hulk Hogan, Sapphire comes in, The Brain Busters go out, Warrior clashes with Andre, and the WWF closes out the 1980’s as Joey takes a look at the November 1989 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Ric Flair wins coming off the top rope, Harley Race has one last time in the spotlight, Gene Kiniski is in the way, Piper and Valentine make history, Tony Schiavone breaks into wrestling, blood flows from everyone, Joey talks about Thanksgiving food and programs and takes a look at Starrcade ’83.

Ric Flair has his name misspelled, Ricky Steamboat has his name misspelled and a son dressed as a cut rate Yoshi, JYD and Butch Reed return to The Superdome, George Scott is lost, Jim Ross and Michael Hayes reunite, and Terry Funk is not retired as Joey takes a look at Clash of the Champions VI: Ragin’ Cajun.

Someone gets grabbed, someone gets stomped, Rockin’ Robin sings, Run DMC raps, Piper is in the Pit, Liz is thrown out, Savage has a staph infection, there are two Championship belts at ringside, and Marla Maples is in the crowd two years before anyone knew her as Joey takes a look at WrestleMania V.

Raccoon’s attack Joey’s campsite and get buff, The Oak Ridge Boys sing, Lex Luger has patented interview hand gestures, Sting has a scary rat tail, Flair and Steamboat have another classic, Terry Funk attacks Flair, WWF is petty, and the tag titles are vacated as Joey looks at WrestleWar ’89.

Hulk Hogan has a movie coming out and The Big Boss Man in a cage, Zeus makes an appearance, Duggan is the new king, Savage wants his title back, Rude defends the Intercontinental Title, The Brain Busters and Demolition get it on, and Joey notes the passing of Regis and his anniversary gift as he takes a look at the SNME from May 1989.

The building is hot, Jim Ross gets in trouble for doing his job, Jim Cornette gets attacked, we meet the newest Freebird, Ric Flair does an interview in a Laker jacket, the Ding Dongs and Norman debut, we crown new tag team champions, and Lex Luger gives voice to his frustrations as Joey looks at Clash of the Champions VII from WCW.

37. Either move the camera or move Alfred: WrestleMania. Wrestlers won’t stop walking in front of the camera, Lord Al can’t catch a break, Jesse is nervous, Studd is slammed, Andre is happy, the celebrities are here and it is a happening as Joey takes a look at WrestleMania.

Hulk Hogan puts his title on the line, The Honky Tonk Man is one hit away from a championship, Ronnie Garvin is a punching ref, Macho Man is intense, Brutus Beefcake puts on a great performance, Zeus makes an appearance, and we crown new tag champions as Joey takes a look at the Saturday Night’s Main Event from July 1989.

Zeus and Randy Savage have a Cauldron of Madness, Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake have a secret weapon, Mean Gene has a blooper, Rick Rude doesn’t care who he has to go through, Jim Duggan has a mask, The Brain Busters have the titles but don’t put them up, and Jesse has a point.

40. The Bag on the Head Trick: Clash VIII. Funk is injured, Slater is trying to be Funk, Flair gets the bag, Sting gets sprayed with Muta’s mist, Lugar falls on Rich, Paul E. gets fired twice, and Robin Green trips Scott Steiner and transforms into Woman as Joey takes a look at Clash of the Champions VIII.

Joey’s mother doesn’t listen to the show, Joey tries a new coffee, George Steele turns good, Paul Orndorff saves Hulk Hogan and Mr. T, JYD dances with his mom, Cyndi Lauper throws a Mother’s Day party, Fred Blassie brings his “mother”, Moolah has some cake, and Mean Gene goes for the ride as Joey takes a look at the first Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Joey stays at home, The Italian Stallion should have had a slightly tweaked gimmick, Ivan Koloff is handing out pictures, Jim Cornette gets the idea for SMW, Dusty Rhodes cosplays John Wayne and loses his job, Flair and Windham take on The Midnight Express as Joey watches Clash of the Champions IV.

Joey gets out of the house and rides a bicycle, Ric Flair won’t give Lex Luger any more title shots, Midnight Express meets Midnight Express, Paul Jones doesn’t want to retire, Rick Steiner wins the TV title, and Dusty doesn’t go quietly into that good night as Joey takes a look at Starrcade 88: True Gritt.

24. Tongue Twister and a Half: SNME January 1989. It’s Brutus VS. Bass for the hair, The Mega Powers are just holding it together, The Twin Towers look to end Hulk Hogan, Warrior VS. HTM rematch, The Red Rooster breaks free, and Mr. Perfect has the perfect move as Joey looks at the Saturday Night’s Main Event from January 1989.

25. Buying a Higher Number: Royal Rumble 1989. The crowd yells USA to two Canadians, Haku and Race battle for the crown, Rockin’ Robin pays tribute to her brothers, Sherri tries commentary, Jesse is always right, Warrior won’t sell for baby oil, the Mega Powers are tearing apart, and Ted DiBiase sets out to buy a Higher Number as Joey takes a look at the 1989 Royal Rumble.

26. Mean Gene and a Hype Man: The Main Event 2. The Mega Powers Explode, Hulk Hogan shows off his acting skills, the perils of live television, Joey needs a hype man and a Mean Gene as he goes to a wedding and takes a look at The Main Event 2.

27. Bob Caudle is a Ladies Man: Clash 5 February 1989. Ric Flair is The Man, Ricky Steamboat is a Family Man, so that leaves Bob Caudle to be a Ladies Man. Hiro Matsuda takes over Flair’s Career, Paul Jones makes an appearance, Jack Victory makes two appearances, and Kevin Sullivan uses a lock and chain to get a title match as Joey takes a look at Clash of the Champions 5.

28. Wrestling meets Real Life: Chi-Town Rumble ’89. After talking about everything that has been happening in wrestling lately, Joey looks at the Chi-Town Rumble from the NWA and WCW.

29. Now that’s what I call an entrance: Great American Bash ’86-Charlotte. Ric Flair arrives in style, Ricky Morton wears a protective device, Baby Doll Slaps Cornette, Shaska gets shaved, Garvin gets revived, and JJ gets ticked off as Joey watches The Great American Bash ’86-Charlotte.

30. Macon, NC – Come for the cotton candy, stay for the Fall: SNME March 1989. Elizabeth has to make a choice, Owen makes an eerie comment, Bad News Brown makes some risque comments, WrestleMania is approaching, Joey makes a long overdue apology and provides some entertainment, and Bubba sells cotton candy as Joey looks at the March 1989 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

11. Sometimes it’s Cash and Creative: AWA Super Sunday. Bringing extra content during this time, Joey takes a look at Super Sunday from the AWA. It’s Hogan VS. Bockwinkel for the AWA title and Hogan VS. Gagne behind the scenes over Hogan’s future.

12. Absolutely, I want both Iced Coffee’s:- SummerSlam 88. Joey gets over caffeinated, learns his limits with Social Distancing, and has it with Virtual Meetings as he takes a look at SummerSlam 88. The Mega Powers take on The Mega Bucks, Randy Savage starts a subtle heel turn, and The Ultimate Warrior makes the first turn into becoming a superstar and legend.

13. The Lion in Late April: AWA WrestleRock ’86. Joey has a full tank and nowhere to go as he takes a look at WrestleRock ’86 from the AWA. From why Bruiser Brody had to be called King Kong, to Nick Bockwinkel’s amazing performance, to the most vile wrestler Joey has ever seen, this show has it all.

14. Crockett’s Last Stand: Clash of the Champions 3. It’s Crockett’s Last Stand as Joey takes a look at Clash of the Champions 3. Ric Flair hates John Ayers, Ivan Koloff proves himself, Dusty Rhodes beats Kevin Sullivan by pinning Gary Hart, and Joey talks about what kind of chain to get for a chain match.

15. Gagne, not spelled like it’s pronounced: AWA SuperClash II. A little knowledge is dangerous as Joey and Rod Trongard learn something at the same time, Joey continues to be treated to the worst wrestler ever, Curt and Larry make change, Nick Bockwinkel is great as usual, and Joey talks about the greatness of the show Wings and the wonders of DVD sets. All this and more as he looks at AWA SuperClash II.

Jake Roberts and Rick Rude settle their issue over Cheryl Roberts, Andre the Giant doesn’t like snakes, Hulk Hogan doesn’t like kings, The Hart Foundation doesn’t like Jimmy Hart, and The Big Boss Man really doesn’t like Hulk Hogan as Joey goes after toilet paper and batteries, surveys storm damage, and wonders what day it is as he takes a look at the Saturday Night’s Main Even from October 1988.

17. Larry Nelson got paid in interviews: SuperClash III. Larry Nelson gets paid in interviews, Kerry Von Erich bleeds for the industry, Sgt. Slaughter is portraying a character, Joey finds another wrestler to hate, Verne Gagne is lost, and this show is a mess as Joey takes a look at SuperClash III.

18. Lord Buckethead and Me: Survivor Series 1988. Joey talks about released WWE Superstars, Howard Finkel, and his personal relationship with Lord Buckethead as he takes a look at Survivor Series 1988 from the WWF.

19. With a Whimper: AWA SuperClash IV. Verne Gagne’s great AWA promotion comes to an end not with a bang, but with a whimper. Larry Zbyszko gets a shoulder up on Mr. Saito, Bob Lurtsema wants to be a referee, Tully Blanchard pops up, and the crowd wants to smoke.

Andre the Giant doesn’t want any snakes around, the Rougeau Brothers have relocated to the USA, Hulk Hogan heads to The Brother Love Show, and the episode is marred by a lot of yikes moments as Joey takes out the recycling and looks at the Saturday Night’s Main Event from November 1988.

2. You’ve Ruined the Western States Heritage Championship: Bunkhouse Stampede ’88. Joey looks at his first JCP offering, The Bunkhouse Stampede ’88. The Western States Heritage Championship is tainted for Joey, The Barbarian gets jumped from behind, and Joey needs to drink more water.

3. This is a Rumble, not a grammar lesson: Royal Rumble 1988. Joey looks at Vince McMahon’s answer to the Bunkhouse Stampede being on PPV with the first televised Royal Rumble on the USA network. A grammar lesson, a bench press record, a contract signing and the first Rumble are among the highlights. Joey also issues a Mea Culpa and talks about the Mandela Effect.

DiBiase wants to just have the belt, and Randy is still Savage as Joey looks at the Saturday Night’s Main Event from March 1988.

6. Former NWA Star Pet: Clash 1 March 1988. JCP presents the first Clash of the Champions opposite WrestleMania IV, the Midnight Rider angle has just begun, Flair makes Sting’s career, and Sandy Scott gets an unfortunate introduction.

7. Should Have Shot the Snake: WrestleMania IV. Joey talks about one of his comfortable shoe podcasts, Donald Trump, swimming, Hulk Hogan not thinking through a promo, who Ric Flair was wrestling on the day Joey was born, and tells about his fear of snakes while looking at WrestleMania IV.
