39. As long as it’s outside the ring: SummerSlam ’89. Zeus and Randy Savage have a Cauldron of Madness, Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake have a secret weapon, Mean Gene has a blooper, Rick Rude doesn’t care who he has to go through, Jim Duggan has a mask, The Brain Busters have the titles but don’t put them up, and Jesse has a point.

40. The Bag on the Head Trick: Clash VIII. Funk is injured, Slater is trying to be Funk, Flair gets the bag, Sting gets sprayed with Muta’s mist, Lugar falls on Rich, Paul E. gets fired twice, and Robin Green trips Scott Steiner and transforms into Woman as Joey takes a look at Clash of the Champions VIII.

Elizabeth has to make a choice, Owen makes an eerie comment, Bad News Brown makes some risque comments, WrestleMania is approaching, Joey makes a long overdue apology and provides some entertainment, and Bubba sells cotton candy as Joey looks at the March 1989 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

31. No promotion, no crowd, and the names are misspelled: Clash VI April 1989. Ric Flair has his name misspelled, Ricky Steamboat has his name misspelled and a son dressed as a cut rate Yoshi, JYD and Butch Reed return to The Superdome, George Scott is lost, Jim Ross and Michael Hayes reunite, and Terry Funk is not retired as Joey takes a look at Clash of the Champions VI: Ragin’ Cajun.

32. Grabbing, Stomping, and Marla Maples too: WrestleMania V. Someone gets grabbed, someone gets stomped, Rockin’ Robin sings, Run DMC raps, Piper is in the Pit, Liz is thrown out, Savage has a staph infection, there are two Championship belts at ringside, and Marla Maples is in the crowd two years before anyone knew her as Joey takes a look at WrestleMania V.

33. If you see a Buff Raccoon: WrestleWar ’89. Raccoon’s attack Joey’s campsite and get buff, The Oak Ridge Boys sing, Lex Luger has patented interview hand gestures, Sting has a scary rat tail, Flair and Steamboat have another classic, Terry Funk attacks Flair, WWF is petty, and the tag titles are vacated as Joey looks at WrestleWar ’89.

25. Buying a Higher Number: Royal Rumble 1989. The crowd yells USA to two Canadians, Haku and Race battle for the crown, Rockin’ Robin pays tribute to her brothers, Sherri tries commentary, Jesse is always right, Warrior won’t sell for baby oil, the Mega Powers are tearing apart, and Ted DiBiase sets out to buy a Higher Number as Joey takes a look at the 1989 Royal Rumble.

26. Mean Gene and a Hype Man: The Main Event 2. The Mega Powers Explode, Hulk Hogan shows off his acting skills, the perils of live television, Joey needs a hype man and a Mean Gene as he goes to a wedding and takes a look at The Main Event 2.

27. Bob Caudle is a Ladies Man: Clash 5 February 1989. Ric Flair is The Man, Ricky Steamboat is a Family Man, so that leaves Bob Caudle to be a Ladies Man. Hiro Matsuda takes over Flair’s Career, Paul Jones makes an appearance, Jack Victory makes two appearances, and Kevin Sullivan uses a lock and chain to get a title match as Joey takes a look at Clash of the Champions 5.

28. Wrestling meets Real Life: Chi-Town Rumble ’89. After talking about everything that has been happening in wrestling lately, Joey looks at the Chi-Town Rumble from the NWA and WCW.
