Fridays Feast for April 13

Appetizer: When you were a child, which crayon color was your favorite? I liked the simple plain blue. There was just something about that color. What I really wanted was the big box of 64 crayons with the sharpener built into the back. Somehow when we went shopping for school clothes and supplies I never got the big box. Now I could go to the store and buy 10 of them if I wanted but it isn’t the same.
Soup: On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest), how likely would you be to change jobs if it required you to move? 10. I live where I work, so I would have to move if I changed jobs.
Salad: Take all the numbers in your birthday and your phone number and add them up, one by one. What’s the total? 64
Main Course: Have you ever “re-gifted” anything? If so, what was it and who did you pass it on to? Yes. My wife received an outfit for Christmas one time and she didn’t like it. So we passed it on to someone else.
Dessert: Name something you need from the store. Diet Mountain Dew.

Good feast this week. Please check out my previous post below and if you can give me some advice, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

  1. I always loved getting the bix huge box with the built in sharpener too. I thought I was the coolest kid around when I finally got one…lol Kids are so funny. Great feast!!

  2. Great Feast!Sounds like you have some repressed issues about the crayons. Maybe you and I have something in common… bad parents.:)

  3. Great feast. I loved the box of 64 with the sharpener. I don’t think I had one as a child but when I had children I got it for them!My feast is served, come and dine.

  4. I too dreamed of having the bit box of crayons. We tended to get stuck with the 8 colour (or if we were lucky, the 16 colour) boxes. On the bright side, we always had the 24 pack of pencil crayons to go with them.

  5. Great feast! I had just gone to the store to get caffeinated sodas before I saw the feast…and I’m already consuming! 🙂 Mine is up…come on over!

  6. You sure struck a chord with the box of 64 and the sharpener! I always wanted it, too, but never had it as a child. So, my kids get a new box every year in their Christmas stockings.Happy Feast day!

  7. I can’t believe after reading a few feasts, that there was a sharpener on the box of crayons,,,wow,,I must be either old or deprived,,I am going to go out and buy a box now!! Happy Feast.

  8. oh,,I almost forgot,,and after reading Janie Hick coment and how she got 2,019 on the desert,,,if you add them all up one by one..{side by side..to the point of one,,in numerology,,you get a single digit,,and that number has a meaning,,,,but I am the only one to do it that way..lol :>)

  9. Thanks for stopping by. Isn’t it funny that a big box of crayons was so important when we were kids. Maybe that’s why we spoil our kids so much today.Nice feast. Have a blessed weekend.

  10. So, how many deprived individuals do you think there are out there who spent most of their childhood coveting those few who were lucky enough to get the big box of crayons with the built in sharpener?!I will have to add my name to list, if there is one, because I would have given anything for it. I think we are all making up for the deprivation by spoiling our children and grandchildren with, not only the big box of crayons, but the massive art kits that include the paints, colored pencils, etc……even I’m guilty of that!Great Feast!

  11. Ahh the big 64 box of crayons with the sharpener!! lol I loved them too and felt very lucky to have my own as a kid and not to have to share with my sister. Funny what makes kids feel special. I’ll have to get my daughter one too. 😉

  12. Thank you for stopping by my feast. I never got the big box of crayons, either. :(I was always sad because I was the only one of my friends who only had 8. BUT…my daughter has a big box of 64 now so I love coloring with her.
